Dustin Dobbyn is a combat-tested U.S. Marine Corps veteran, law enforcement professional, and entrepreneur who founded Tacon1 LLC in 2024. With over 15 years of combined military, law enforcement, and executive security experience, he has built a reputation for delivering elite-level protection, training, and risk management services across the United States and abroad.
Dustin began his military career in the U.S. Marine Corps at age 17, serving with the elite Fleet Antiterrorism Security Team (FAST) Company. He deployed to high-risk locations including Guantanamo Bay, Rota, and Bahrain, supporting critical security operations and force protection missions.
He later served as a Mobile Section Leader with the 3rd Battalion, 7th Marines in Afghanistan, where he led combat operations in one of the most dangerous regions of the conflict. These experiences shaped his leadership philosophy: preparing for high-pressure situations before they happen and executing with precision when they arise.
Following his military service, Dustin transitioned into law enforcement, serving as a detective, SWAT operator, and tactical instructor. His work included investigations, high-risk operations, and training in defensive tactics, patrol procedures, and special operations.
This experience deepened his expertise in threat assessment, behavioral analysis, and operational security—skills that now form the foundation of Tacon1’s training and protection standards.
Before founding Tacon1 LLC, Dustin held executive leadership roles in private security firms, overseeing large-scale protection programs and high-risk client operations.
Recognizing a gap in industry standards, he created Tacon1 to deliver a higher level of professionalism, accountability, and tactical excellence. Today, the company provides executive protection, armed and unarmed security, tactical training, and investigative services across multiple states.
Dustin holds certifications as a Certified Executive Protection Specialist (CEPS) and Certified Security Professional (CSP), reflecting his commitment to advanced training and industry best practices.
As CEO, Dustin emphasizes discipline, continuous training, and leadership development. He believes effective protection comes from highly trained professionals who are prepared, accountable, and mission-focused.
Tacon1 also supports veteran transition programs, helping former military and law enforcement personnel build successful careers in private security.
In addition to leading Tacon1, Dustin serves as a mentor and consultant for organizations seeking to improve leadership, crisis response, and security operations. He regularly contributes to training programs and professional development seminars.
